UBA Cameroon hosts Students of The Horizon Bilingual Educational Complex Douala
UBA Cameroon received a group of students from The Horizon Bilingual Educational Complex Douala on Wednesday 25 July 2024 at the Head Office. The visit was part of the holiday camp taking place at the school, which brings together kids between 12 and 15 years. The students were able to find out about the functioning of the bank and different professions, visit a branch, and get some orientation to guide their studies. Executives of the bank took turns exchanging in interactive sessions with the students who had many questions on diverse topics. It was another great moment for UBA Cameroon to give back to the community through mentoring the next generation, an initiative taken very seriously by the bank and carried out in secondary schools and universities.
The administration of the Horizon Bilingual Educational Complex heartily thanked UBA Cameroon for the opportunity that has helped open the minds of these young students on banking. Mentoring the students is one of the major corporate social responsibility activities carried out by UBA Cameroon. Some institutions of higher learning have benefited from mentoring sessions on different topics carried out by staff of the bank.
